It had been raining all afternoon.
The kind of soft, steady April rain that turned the windows to watercolor and made the whole house feel like a warm cocoon. Logan had planned to use the day productively—catch up on some writing, organize the office, maybe read on the couch with Tyler curled up beside him.
Instead, he was watching Tyler stir trouble like cream into coffee.
First, Tyler “accidentally” unplugged Logan’s laptop. Then he reorganized the bookshelf alphabetically by color. Then he stood in the kitchen, completely naked except for a pair of knee socks, casually licking a spoonful of Nutella like it was an audition for something not rated PG.
When Logan walked in and said nothing, Tyler just smiled. “Rainy days make me restless.”
Logan leaned against the doorway. “That an excuse or a confession?”
Tyler licked the spoon. “A little of both.”
Logan didn’t move. “You know what happens when you get restless.”
Tyler cocked his head. “You tie me up and spank me until I behave?”
Logan stepped forward. Calm. Certain. “Exactly.”
Tyler’s breath caught. Just like always.
Minutes later, Logan had him on the bed.
Tyler knelt there with his wrists bound behind his back in soft, silken ties—ones they’d bought together last fall, on a rainy day just like this. Logan took his time with the knots. Not tight. Just firm enough to say stay. Then he spread Tyler out, securing his ankles to the bedpost with the second tie, baring him completely, helpless and beautiful.
The rain drummed gently on the roof. The room was warm with golden lamplight and quiet tension.
Logan picked up the ruler from the nightstand drawer—a simple wooden one with just enough snap to get his point across.
“You’re going to learn a little patience today,” he said, brushing the ruler down Tyler’s spine. “And a little discipline.”
Tyler shivered. “It’s not my fault the weather makes me bratty.”
Logan swatted his left cheek—sharp.
Tyler yelped. “Okay! Okay, maybe it is.”
Another swat. Then another. The ruler left fine pink lines, and the soft moans escaping from Tyler’s mouth said he wouldn’t be forgetting them anytime soon.
Logan worked methodically. Not cruel. Not rushed. Just consistent—short, biting snaps of wood against warm, bare skin, punctuated by long pauses where Tyler could do nothing but breathe and feel.
At one point Tyler whimpered, “How many more?”
Logan leaned in, kissed his shoulder. “Enough to make you behave until the sun comes out.”
The spanking went on for a while longer—just enough to leave Tyler wrung out and quiet, eyes half-lidded, cheeks flushed, the ties holding him still even as he trembled.
When it was over, Logan untied him slowly, gently, and pulled him into his arms.
“You always push,” he murmured, kissing Tyler’s temple.
Tyler nuzzled against him, blissed out. “I like how you push back.”
They lay there, tangled up, listening to the rain. Tyler’s backside was warm against Logan’s thighs, marked but safe. Loved.
Outside, the April storm kept falling.
Inside, balance had been restored.
